Energist UK has recently relaunched it’s Code for Sustainable Homes service with the mantra – “Relax – your Code Project is in safe hands”.
And as part of the service, Energist is offering customers a Free Pre-Assessment as part of its Design Stage Meeting – the initial consultation stage of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
The Code for Sustainable Homes marks a major revolution in the building industry. With the Code becoming mandatory for most new buildings in Wales from 1st September 2009, and many councils requiring increasing standards of sustainable design and construction when granting planning permission, the demand for Code compliance is growing.
Don Howard, Energist Technical Director: “The requirements for Code have grown in complexity since 2006. That can be a real headache for customers as they already have to deal with other frequent changes to Part L building regulations. Every member of our team of Code Assessors makes it their objective to make Code compliance as straightforward as possible for our customers. That means providing the customer with prompt and straightforward advice and solutions. “
Energist has experience of delivering code to 20 plus clients and is one of only a handful of companies to have successfully completed multiple Code compliances through to Post Construction Review.
Sarah Fenwick, Energist Managing Director: “With something as complex as the Code customers need to be confident that we can see their project through to completion. Because we have a team of Assessors, customers needn’t worry that they are going to be left high and dry if someone goes on holiday or is off sick. We’ve also got extensive construction expertise so we know the industry inside out and customers can be confident that we won’t come to them with silly questions.”

Energist UK, specialists in Part L Building Regulations and sustainable energy solutions, have appointed Alex Obubo to their IT Department as CRM specialist.
Alex joins Energist as part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with the University of Gloucestershire.
A KTP is a two-year placement of a graduate in a company, working on a project of strategic importance and supported by the university. This national scheme is part-funded by government, and has a long record of helping companies to innovate while giving excellent career opportunities to the graduates involved.
Alex’s role at Energist will be to improve customer facing systems and processes to support Energist’s growth as the company establishes itself as a leading provider of environmental systems and services to the construction industry in the region.
Helen Mistry, IT Manager at Energist: “I’m delighted that Alex has joined Energist at a very exciting phase of our company’s system development. He has already started to make a difference”.
Rob was one of 140 cyclists who rode a gruelling 340-miles on a charity fundraising race from London to Paris. Rob spent three and a half days completing the journey which ended with the riders crossing the finishing line on the Champs-Elysées.

Rob Sinfield, sales manager at Energist UK became one of the first cyclists to cross the finishing line of the Tour de France recently, 24 hours ahead of the competitors involved in the main race.
This was the 4th time Rob had undertaken this cycling challenge and although he wasn’t able to put in as much training as in previous years, he still enjoyed the challenge!
“It was exhausting but when you finally get there and know it’s all done and dusted it’s quite a relief to cross the finish line.”
Rob expects to have raised over £2,000 in sponsorship for Action Medical Research which studies causes of premature birth.
