Since 1st October 2008, all buildings with a total useful floor area greater than 1000 m2 that are occupied by a public authority or an institution providing public services and access should display a Display Energy Certificate (DEC). This shows the energy consumption of the building using information from utility bills.
With our fast track 72 hour service Energist UK can help you make sure you have all of your Display Energy Certificates in place! Our service is nationwide and we even provide ready to display laminated certificates.

A Display Energy Certificate (DEC) is a document that shows the energy performance of a building based on actual energy consumption as recorded. The DEC also shows the Asset Rating for the building on a scale of 0 to 150 using information from the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). The Operational Rating is shown on a scale from A to G, where A is the lowest CO2 emissions (best) and G is the highest CO2 emissions (worst). The Operational Ratings for the current year and previous two years are displayed on your certificate; this provides information on whether the energy performance of the building is improving or not.
You will need to provide us with all of the building's utility bills for the past 12 months, as well as floor plans. New buildings, or those where a year's worth of bills are not available, will automatically be given a 'G' rating.
An Energy Performance Certificate calculates the carbon emissions of a specific building based on Government approved calculations, whereas the DEC calculates the energy consumption/performance based on the actual utility bills.
