What is SAP 2009?

‘SAP2009' represents the biggest rewrite of Part L since 2005 when the current SAP calculation was introduced. It's objective is to further reduce carbon emissions from new homes, in line with the Government's strict targets.

This is the third major overhaul of SAP assessing this decade and although nothing has been confirmed yet, it's thought that SAP 2009 will come into force for properties which go through planning from April 2010 - so any current projects are unlikely to be affected.
