Project overview
Energist provided thermal performance consultancy and compliance support to RED Construction Group on the landmark 40 Broadway development in Westminster. Through a bespoke package of energy modelling, overheating assessments, air leakage testing and BREEAM compliance services and supporting WELL Platinum, BREEAM Excellent and WiredScore Platinum certifications.

Project Challenges
The project targeted ambitious sustainability and wellbeing standards, including WELL Platinum, BREEAM Excellent and WiredScore Platinum certification. Achieving these requirements demanded robust building performance analysis and detailed energy modelling.
Deliverables
Energist provided thermal performance consultancy throughout the project, beginning at Stage 4 with a Level 5 SBEM Energy Model and HEA 04 Overheating Assessment. The energy model was supported by thermal bridging calculations, U-value assessments and condensation risk analysis.
At Stage 5, Energist delivered BREEAM MAN 04 completion services, including Commercial Air Leakage Testing and a Thermographic Survey. The completed EPC demonstrated full compliance for RED Construction, while the HEA 04 assessment contributed towards additional BREEAM credits.
