Meet the Team: Q&A with Helen

Helen Williams, Client Director

Recently promoted to Client Director, Helen is one of our longest-serving team members and has become an invaluable contact for many of our clients. Providing support and technical knowledge within Energist London, Helen’s tenacity and commitment has been recognised with her promotion to Client Director. Upon her appointment, Helen shared a summary of her time at Energist in a quick Q&A:

“I have been on a real journey at Energist since I joined 11.5 years ago. Initially appointed to our technical team I soon moved over to account management, setting up our Nationals team to start working with national construction and house building clients.

I have continued to work with our key London clients to the present day and have made many good friends along the way. My role is to help our London clients with the advice they need in order to achieve planning and building regs compliance in the most cost-effective way.”

1. Describe yourself in three words
Honest, driven, trustworthy.

2. What is your favourite quote?
I like motivational quotes and my current favourite is:

“There is no such thing as failure, just learning on the job.”

3. What is a big problem in the construction industry that Energist are helping to solve?
Staying current

There are so many changes and updates in legislation, just in our area, so allowing our clients to stay abreast of what is key to them and their projects is something we always strive for at Energist, while keeping it as succinct as possible. We are all busy but need to stay up to date.

4. What has been your most rewarding moment since joining Energist?
There have been many – but helping a team save money on their project by providing solutions based on our experience and seeing our clients win awards for their projects are highlights for me.

5. If you could be an animal, what would you be and why?
The family pooch – I’m very loyal and will be by your side throughout your journey.

6. What is your favourite chocolate?
Crunchie.
