Welcome to Webinar Wednesdays!
We know the next few months will be challenging for the construction industry. Whilst energy and sustainability may not be at the top of everyone’s list right now, getting it right can reduce risk and save cost, as well as helping to provide better quality homes. To help you navigate the potential pitfalls of not only upcoming regulation changes but also day to day design challenges, we’re launching Webinar Wednesdays – a series of free presentations and training sessions on key topics, delivered weekly, to keep you at the forefront of the world of energy and sustainability.
Webinar Wednesday #9 - 10th June, 2pm
For our next installment, we’ll be continuing with the later start time of 2pm. We had some feedback that some of you often have meetings on a Wednesday morning and can’t usually make our webinars, so we’re trialing them at a later time for a few weeks to see if this suits the majority more.
Due to the GLA recently releasing updates on their Energy Strategy, our next two webinars will be covering the updated GLA Energy Guidance on the 10th and 17th June. We’ll be running this in two parts specifically looking at Be Seen and WLC updates, with two of our technical specialists Will Orriss-Baxter and Carl Cappuccini, who will be accompanied by our Client Director Helen Williams.
Topics across the two parts include:
- Be Seen:
- What is the ‘Be Seen’ Guidance?
- Three stages of reporting: Planning Stage, In Use, As Built
- Performance Indicators
- Best Practice
- Whole Life Cycle Carbon Assessment:
- What is the WLC Assessment?
- When is it required?
As always, it will be kept as a relatively small group so that we can include live Q and A sessions, and places will be available on a first-come-first-served basis. This webinar will last no longer than 1.5 hours, and will be recorded for you to catch-up on afterwards. To secure your place, please follow the link below.
This webinar will be held on Zoom software, so you are required to download the Zoom app to attend. If you have security restrictions on your work computer and can’t download on a smartphone or tablet and are therefore unable to attend, please email Katie on firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know.
Coming up in the Webinar Wednesday Series...
We’ll be announcing new topics each week via email for you to sign up to and reserve your place. Get in quick though, as we’ll be offering a limited number of spaces on each, so that we can keep them interactive and include live Q and A sessions. And if you have any burning topics you’d like us to cover, just get in touch and put in a request. Let’s keep talking and make sure we’re in the best possible position to hit the ground running when life gets back to some form of normality.
